Ice Storm 2013, AKA - Icemageddon

 

Last week we got quite the ice storm here. Everything was put on pause for awhile while the roads cleared up and everything thawed out. Harlen thought it was pretty cool. We got to play in it a little bit. It looked like pretty white snow, but it was really thick ice. Oakley and I were home bound for 4 or 5 days and we went a little stir crazy. You can still see remnants of snow and ice here and there. It was crazy. Hoping H gets to see a Texas snow storm sometime this winter!

This was 2 days before the storm hit. It was about 80.

He loves getting to swing.

Oakley thought watching sister slide down the icy hill in front of the fire station was so funny.

She was so scared at first then she kept begging us to do it again and again.

Went to the mall for a little indoor fun when the roads started to clear up some.

Then the kids and I stayed home a baked bc it was just too cold to venture out anywhere just yet.

Its all fin and games until you have a 3 year old with cabin fever! Thank goodness she got to get some of her wiggles out at school this week!
