1 Month...

Our son is 1 month old. 1 month of being a family of four. 1 month of sibling love. 1 month of nursing. 1 month of lots of spit up. 1 month of juggling two kids. 1 month of tons of wet, squishy kisses given to Oakley by big sister. 1 month of lots and lots of love.

I feel like he was just born yesterday, yet in one short month of him being here, I forget what our lives were like without him. He is meant to be our boy. Meant to be a Phemister. Meant to be Harlen's little brother. And boy are we lucky.
Oakley was 10.8lbs. at his 2 week checkup (93rd percentile) and 23 1/2 inches (over the 100th percentile). I'm guessing he is closer to 12lbs now. He wears size 2 diapers and is in size 3 month clothes.
He is a pretty good sleeper, much better than his sister (sorry H!). He is the best nurser. Boy loves to eat. He's a pretty laid back little guy, except in his carseat. He HATES the car seat. After getting to take "real" baths he learned to love bath time with daddy. He also LOVES being in my Maya wrap. That's his favorite place. The paci is still iffy. Sometimes he won't take it for days and then he will have a fussy moment so we offer it to him and it calms him right down. Who knows?
We are loving our boy and excited to see him grow! For now we will snuggle him as much as we can. (Garrett tells me, someday I will be hugging him around his waist. Hard to believe the sweet boy that lays perfectly on my chest will one day be taller than me. )
We love you Oakley Bradford!

Oakley wasn't happy, but I hope these 6 grow up being great friends always.
