Oakley - 9 Months

Another month has gone by, little dude. You are one amazing boy and we love you so much. This month was big for you, as far as milestones go. Your personality and voice are coming out so much more and it is so fun to see. Harlen is getting a glimpse at what life will be like when you can really walk and play with her and I know she can't wait for that to happen. When we go to the park she asks if you can do everything that she is doing. But for now, I want to enjoy these last few months of you being my baby. My sweet baby boy that loves to cuddle, nurse, be worn and held. 

At 9 months old you are...

- Crawling! And crawling fast!
- starting to point at things
- pulling up
- love to stand holding on to something
- yelling and talking more
- clapping. You clap when you are happy, frustrated or just because
- taking 3 naps a day
- nursing 4-5 times a day
- have 3 teeth. You're first top tooth just cut through 2 days ago.
- Because of that said tooth, you're sleeping has been horrid these passed couple of days, but you were waking up about once a night,
- you weigh about 28lbs. as of 2 weeks ago when you went to the dr
- got your first pair of real shoes. Size 5 double wide. You love them. And sister loves to take them off for you first thing when we get home from somewhere.
- wearing size 24 month or 2t clothes and size 6 diaper.
- love banging toys on things or together in your hand.
- you are growing some sweet little curls. They are adorable.

Easter 2014

Easter was tons of fun this year with a certain 3 1/2 year old. She knew months in advance what she was going to ask the Easter bunny for-- a baby with no hair. We wrote the bunny a note, sealed it in an envelope and sent it on its way. We colored eggs, practiced going on egg hunts, put out decorations, made our yearly Easter bunny cake, cracked eggs, made deviled eggs and got our treats from the bunny. All in all, a very fun Easter celebration. Harlen was totally into it and had the best time. She wanted to do it all, but I think her favorite parts were, getting to eat chocolate that the bunny gave to her for breakfast and the egg cracking wars. So much fun!
