Harlen - 3 1/2

My 3 1/2 year old little girl...

This year you have done so much growing up. I keep thinking about how much you have changed since your third birthday. You have become so big and grown up in so many ways, Harlen Violet. You are a big sister, a preschooler, so outgoing, friendly, funny, feisty, bossy, and full of energy. You are about 37lbs., no idea how tall, size 9 shoe, size 4t pants and 5t tops. You like going to school, jump houses places, playing at the park, playing on the ipad, doing puzzles, going on walks, snacking, watching movies, having tea parties, playing with Oakley, and wrestling with daddy. Your favorite foods right now are pears, Stacy's pita chips, chocolate, and chicken nuggets. You are so into the movie Frozen right now and can sing every song, quite dramatically, at that. You tell stories, play pretend, have such an imagination and your vocabulary astounds me often. Thank you for being you, Harlen Violet. 3 has been a challenging year on us and you want to push every boundary possible, but you keep life exciting and you are one heck of a good big sister. Oakley - 8 Months

Happy 8 months, Oakley! What a sweet and joyful 8 month old you are, little man.

At 8 months old you are...
- eating lots of food and nursing 5-6 times a day
- taking 3 naps a day
- waking up once a night (usually just around 6am or so, nurse then you go back to sleep until sister wakes us up)
- can crawl backwards like a pro
- can get back to a sitting position from your tummy or crawling stance
- can pull up to your knees
- soooo close to crawling
- have 2 teeth! They just popped up a few days ago.
- had your first fever (not sure if it was all teething related, but you are all better now)
- have been talking more
- can use you pincher grasp to pick of food
- love sharing sister's snacks
- love rough housing with dad and sister
- about 27lbs, size 5 diaper and size 24 month clothes (although grandma just bought you size 2t shorts bc they were the only ones that fit you!)
- still love being worn
- getting some curly locks, way cute

Every month just gets more fun and exciting with you. Its so fun to watch you and Harlen interact more and more with each other. You guys are so cute and she is so sweet to you (the majority of the time). We love you bunches, Oakley.
